A simple multi at Atsuta Jingu
Atsuta Jingu (shrine) was originally founded about 1900 years ago. It has been considered the second most important shrine next to the grand shrine of Ise. More than two million people visit the shrine on New Year's days (1/1-1/3). The enshrined deity is one of the three imperial regalias, Kusanagi-no-Tsurugu (lit. grass-cutting sword). Please behave in the shrine precinct.

There is no room for trade items. Make sure to bring a pen and 600 yen for Miya-Kishimen, Nagoya's famous flat noodle . If you are interested in 'katana' Japanese swords, I recommend you to visit the treasure hall (Houmotsu-kan). It houses many katanas including ones designated as national treasures.
