vbpad: well i guess there's a base Gagetown policy that prohibits geocaching within base grounds and that it doesn't matter if there's acess rights or not so i'm archiving this one by request from the base.

Geocache Description:

Small cache located near the old Climbing lean to.

So I've been climbing here for years this is the Maritime's best kept climbing secret. Located here is some of the best quality Granite climbing around with over 300 documented routes.

i decided i was going to place a cache up here. Be very careful heading to the cache as this whole area is very steep. from the farmers field to the cache location there is a vertical increase of 200m.

The path there can be kind of tricky so follow the instructions carefully.

From the parking area along the road (there will probably be a couple climbers parked here) head through the fence and head to the back of the field to the woods. Be sure to keep animals on leash through the farmers field. Once in the woods follow the trail till you get to the sign-in box. once at the sign-in box head right and walk till you hit the trail for waterfall wall. head up through the boulder field till you hit the waterfall wall. once there head left and up the slope keep following till you get to the top of the slope. once there you'll see the old lean to. take time to enjoy the view and be careful heading back down the slopes and through the boulders.
