Ok folks, clear your diaries for 30th May – 1st June, pack the
car, load the GPS and Tom Tom, and get yourself to Cheshire for a
weekend of fun, and some great caching!
Elm Cottage Caravan Park is situated close to Northwich and
Winsford near a lovely village called Little Budworth. For those
not in the know – this is a cache rich area, with a great variety
of caches nearby.

The site itself is just off the A54, which is easily accessible
from Chester in the West, and from the M6 in the East.
We are booked onto the Rally Field of the campsite, which means
our fees have been greatly reduced to only £6.50 per night per
tent, and an additional £2.50 per night if you need electric hook
up.
For those that would like to arrive a little earlier to make a long
weekend of it, it is fine to arrive from the Thursday afternoon
onwards - just report to the site office and say you are with the
geocachers!!
Again we will also be hiring the “Barn” – which is more like a
village hall – packed with bad weather goodies like a pool table,
games, a stereo and a BIG urn, especially for making loads of pots
of tea!!
Last year we were able to hire this barn for only £1 per person
for the whole weekend - it's just not worth NOT having it!! I'll
collect £1 per person for this at the event itself!
The actual event will be on the SATURDAY evening - a BBQ / fun /
games etc with a scavenger hunt for the kids and chance to swap
stories and TB's with those attending as day(evening!) guests.
It's been suggested we kick off the BBQ at about 6pm, to give those
that are caching a chance to get back.
It's been agreed with the campsite owners that I will manage the
bookings and the taking of camping fees. This is what has reduced
our fees.
I'm quite happy to take advance payments for fees if you would
like to - I can do this by cheque or paypal, just let me know and
I'll arrange it, otherwise it'll be cash (or is that cache!) on
arrival! If you want to pay by paypal before you go... then PLEASE
let me have your email address... I am NOT a mindreader
There are 12 hookups onsite. These will be allocated on a first
come, first served basis, so if you think you might be there, and
you are desperate for a hookup – book it NOW with me.

Everyone is welcome to come to the BBQ on the saturday evening -
and donations of food / BBQ's / help with cooking will be
appreciated.

come, or on arrival... Just pull onto the Rally Field and come and
find me!!

YES! There is a new toilet and shower block being built at the
moment, this will be ready for when we come, but the old one was
fine!!
