Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden as part of the One Degree of Separation Geocaching Project. This is a seed that came from: GC1K9G6

Please see below for what this seed cache is about and please replace exactly as found

I took one of the seed caches from GC1K9G6. Today as I was walking through Shu Swamp I decided to place it. I have ridden by this preserve on my bike many times and always thought it would be nice to visit. While looking for some nice places to hike I decided to come get the ones in here. I was not disappointed! A really pretty place and I am sure as spring and summer come it will be a whole different experience. Please wear shoes that can get wet, this IS a swamp. Mostly there are wooden bridges over the really wet places, see my picture. Parking can be found off of Frost Mill Rd here N40 52.793 W73 33.811. This is the Charles T. Church Nature Sanctuary and it is CLOSED on Fridays. Do not let your auto routing GPS try to get you close to the cache, mine took me to someone's driveway and two tail wagging German Sheperd dogs but I didn't get out of the car to see if they were in fact friendly. Cache is a film canister but this isn't about the cache it's about getting out for a nice walk in the woods Bring a pen, it's a log only cache.

One Degree of Separation is a project that has been taking shape and GROWING for nearly 3 years. It's a variation of the "Small World" concept that was proposed in the early 20th century. Many people are familiar with the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game, but few know just how far back the idea goes.

For more information on this project and the Small World Theory go to: One Degree of Separation Forum Pages

To visually see how the project grows over time check the ODS: PRIME! geocaching profile stats at: One Degree of Separation Forum Pages

Please email One Degree of Separation Forum Pages; when you plant your seed, so he can add your cache to the ever growing network of caches placed in this project.

Many other goals will be posted as the project grows, but here are a few.

2. To have an ODS cache hidden in all 50 states.
3. To have an ODS cache hidden in a number of foreign countries, by milestone,10 countries at a time. First milestone 10 then 20 and so on.
4. To have an ODS cache hidden in every county in Texas.
