Cache is named for the Walnut Branch, a tributary of Sugarland Run. This creek runs clean and clear and has small fish in some of the quiet pools.
I've crossed Walnut Branch on it's stepping stones a thousand times and picked blackberries along the bike trail. To share this nice hiking area, I've hidden a cache in honor of the nice little creek. Please do NOT be tempted to cross Walnut Branch on the logs that have fallen across it. It's not necessary to attempt them to reach the cache... and we don't need any more log crossing injuries among our NoVa cachers :-) This cache was placed by DonGar 3/5/06 adopted by PyroNorm adopted by GriffinTamer88 1/22/22
