located within the beautiful Blackwater River State Forest. third in the "there we were" series...
There we were strolling through the fawna discussing the joys of geocaching and comparing geocaching with the attributes of letterboxing. Then came the idea of combining the two, this cache is located at the spot of the idea and is dedicated to those brave souls that accept the challenges of both letterboxing and geocaching.

A very unique idea, but here's what happened today...the forestry service is doing controlled burns in the area, including the cache hide location....this cache did not burn up, but is charred somewhat....plus there is damage to the top of the box like as if someone or something smashed the top...no problem though, the contents are intact. While standing there logging in, a forestry service fire control vehicle drove right by my nearby parked car, and they didn't even see me standing by the cache! So I quickly finished my geocaching business, got back in the car, and moved out quickly. Thanks for a rather interesting container to say the least!

Gotta love the imagination of the person who placed this cache and left it for cachers to enjoy. Really a smiling cache and thanks for keeping this one alive and working. It was indeed full of goodies but we didn't take the time to look at the items. In a race with the weather that was coming at us we signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the happy cache and the trip into the forest.
