Geocache Description:

If you are driving a Civic - please park on the main road and walk into the cabins.

We talked to Gerry at the Hedley Museum about these homes and he said - These lands originally belonged to a fellow named George Cahill – if you note on the side of the house it says G. Cahill 1913. George Cahill originally staked out the Mascot Mine, when he passed away the lands were based down through the family and the name you see carved on the door was a direct descendent.

This used to also be called Cyanide Gulch, we are unsure of the currently quality of the water, but would not recommend drinking it. They used Cyanide to get out the gold, and not far above this home are the tailing piles from the mine – when the water ran off it would come down this gulch.
