MAYSVILLE CEMETERY

A Franklin County Pioneer Burying Ground
Located in the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 34, Reeve Township, Franklin County, Iowa

Maysville is a ghost town that used to sit very close to this location. It existed from 1856-1890. In its heyday, Maysville had a school, church and general store. The Maysville Cemetery served as the primary burying location for residents of this former community. Unfortunately, the cemetery si not well cared for today. The grounds are mowed but many of the stones are broken or missing.
