The Short and the Long of It: Cookie Tin 2 Multi-cache
Marko Ramius: The word has come down from GC HQ that these remnants of caching in ABDSP need to finally be archived. We hope someday to establish a relationship with the land managers here so that caching can once again be allowed in the Park, but for now these caches must go the way of all the others.

A challenging two-stage cache in Sandstone Canyon.
Only two stages, but that first one is going to be very hard! You can park just a few feet away. Now, how do you get to it? Cache container is in plane view once you are at the correct spot.
4WD is probably not needed to reach the first stage, but would be helpful. A sturdy 4WD IS needed to reach the parking area for the second stage. And it better be a good one, too. I could not get my 4WD Ranger to the parking area. Well, maybe I could, but I didn't want to! We drove Curt's Rover instead. It has bigger tires, and suspension lift. Very nice. If you walk, take plenty of water. Second parking area is just 0.2 miles from cache.
The actual cache, stage two, is much easier to find, probably rated a "2".
Special note: We placed a brand new Garmin GPS in this cache. It is an older model, but comes complete with case, batteries, VHS tape, and instructions. Note:, GPS has been taken.
