Geocache Description:

This cache is a camouflaged Lexan water bottle. It is available 24X7 but bring a flashflight if you plan on looking for it after dark.

This cache is located in a public park in the City of Glen Cove. This is our third of a series of caches showcasing some of the parks of Glen Cove. This park is located on Leech Circle South. There is ample street parking if the gate to the parking lot is closed. On Oct 4th, 2003, this park, formerly known as Leech Circle Park, was dedicated to and renamed as Dennis Brian Murray Park. Dennis, a Glen Cove resident, was born 12/28/1947, spent many years playing in this very area before giving his life for his country on 06/12/1969 in a small village in Vietnam. At the time of his death Dennis was serving with Troop F, 17th Cavalry, 196 LI of the United States Army. This cache is a camouflaged Nalgene containing a log, a pen and pencil, 1 alien toy, 1 9-11 pin, 1 poker chip, 1 green marble, 1 truck pin, 1 Thunder Mountain keychain, 1 beanie baby, and 1 Rocky Mountain concho. Please remember that if you plan on leaving an item it must be able to fit inside the 2" opening of the lexan bottle. Enjoy and good luck.
