UV in the Park Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Marky: We went by and refreshed the coords at stage one because they were all but gone. These pens fade fast. Then we went to refresh the final stage and walked right past it. Why, you ask? The tree it was hidden in, a nice, big, healthy tree is gone! Yup, all that is left is a stump. Due to the problems this cache has had, we're archiving it. We'll do some testing on some outdoor UV paint that is supposed to last. Sorry to those that didn't get a chance at this one. Hopefully, the next one will last longer.

Geocache Description:

This cache is rated a 5 difficulty only because you need a UV light (black light) to find the first and second stage.

This is a nighttime only cache that requires a UV light to find the stages. The park is open until 10:00PM, which should be plenty of time to find the cache even in the summer. It is near impossible to see during the day even with a UV light. At night, an LED UV light will do fine.

Stage 1 is at the posted coords. There is no legal parking near this stage, so just park in the parking lot for the park and walk over. At this location is a wooden building. On the corner of the building, I've written six numbers in invisible UV ink. Let these numbers be ABCDEF.

Stage 2 (the final stage) is at:
N 37 19.ABC W 122 02.DEF

At the final stage, I've drawn a dot about 1 inch in diameter to let you know where the cache is hidden. It should be an easy find with the UV light. Please re-hide the cache so that none of the cache is visible. Try not to force it in.

If you don't have a UV light, a little birdie told me that one is available in an archived cache that is 0.22 miles from stage 1. You'll have to figure out where that is if you need the light (hint: use the geocaching.com maps to find archived caches). If you use the UV light, please return it when you are done.

Note: Stage one has moved so that the coordinates can be written on wood instead of metal. It seems that the invisible ink lasts longer on wood for some reason.
