The river named "Funairi-gawa" flowed here until 1972.
A lot of fishing boats were moored at "Funairi-gawa" before, and it was the base of fishing. Moreover, it has been used as daily life water like the agricultural water, the drinking water, and wash, etc.
However, the necessity of this river weakened by abandoning fishing rights, and reclamation was begun in 1973.
It is maintained as a stroll road now. Only a small brook tells here was a river at that time.
There is one goby at the point of coordinates.

ここには昭和４０年代まで船圦川（ふないりがわ）という川が流れていました。
かつての船圦川には数多くの漁船が係留され、当代島地区の漁の基地となっていました。
この川の水は、農業用水や、飲料水、洗い物など生活用水としても利用されてきました。
しかし、漁業権の放棄と宅地化によって、川であることの必要性が薄れ、1973年に埋め立てが開始されました。
現在では遊歩道が整備され、歩道脇の小さな小川だけが、かつてここが川だったことを伝えています。
座標のポイントにはじっと動かないハゼが一匹います。
