January 3 by 304sss (46 found) i lived right over the hill from KSF in davis creek for a few years and i never knew about these rock formations and i heart rock formations, so i was very pleased to explore some new ones. a tree has recently fallen over the trail near gator rock and the gator has some twigs in his teeth nowadays. the tree isn't blocking the trail yet, but it could fall further at anytime so be careful. TNLNSL thanks for leading me here!

December 25, 2009 by A Worthless Nut (438 found) We went out for a Christmas hike in KSF and I chose the Alligator Rock Trail for my family and our new dog's inaugural KSF hike. Between the crazy dog and the muddy slippery hillside it proved to be pretty challenging. I found the cache pretty easily and it was actually in running water due to all of the rain in the morning. The ammo box was effective in keeping the contents dry, though. I took a TB which, I thought, had lost its attachment. There were a number of items in the box which seemed like possible TB toys so I took a little lion figure. When I got home I discovered that the owner never attached anything to the TB so I went ahead and attached the lion. It's much more interesting now.

November 14, 2009 by Roamifuwant2 (129 found) Went to find this one with the Pirate and his nieces and nephews. HOwever, the little ones were not able to make it to the actual cache, so I ended up finding it with his oldest nephew. Lots of goodies in the cache so it was too bad they were not able to look through it. Enjoyed going on this hike again. We found the original Gator Bait before it had to be moved... I would have never seen the cool gator if it weren't for caching. That is what makes this cache so good because there is such a cool sculpture in the end. TNLN SL. TFTC
