It is with GREAT sadness that we have to disable this cache...someone stole the item the cache was stuck to, and without the item the cache does not make a lot of sense. Plus, a year after Ike, they came and cut down all the trees, so the hiding place has gone, so for now at least we are disabling it. :(

We didn't know whether to look for this one or not after we looked for other ones from the same person. We saw it had been taken but the cache was never temporarily archived and the owner posted no note of it being replaced so we didn't even attempt. We drove a long way today and were hoping to get all of the ones on the island today.... Oh well....

Decided not to look for this one once we arrived near GZ as the mosquitos were bad and noting from the previous log that the cache had been accidentally removed and no word on weather it had been replaced or not , we decided not to waste time looking for something that may not be there. Owner needs to keep folks informed on status.

funny story - we actually found this on october 3, but didn't realize it. we were quickly on our way back to the vehicle after finding the birds eye view cache - quickly because we were swarmed by mosquitoes. my caching friend spotted what he thought was an old battery lying next to the sidewalk that needed to be tossed... well, it turned out to be the cache, which had somehow gotten misplaced and altered from its original condition. we didn't discover it was this cache we were home (not in galveston). oops! contacted the owners, and sent it back on it's way home. owners confirmed delivery this evening, so i hope it'll be back in the game soon. SO SORRY to those who recently went looking for it! it just wanted to chalk up some extra caching miles...
