Geocache Description:

A series of six caches placed along a hiking trail. Please consider completing the series in sequence - it is loosely coupled to the first part of The Pilgrim's Progress written by John Bunyan (published in 1678). Each cache listing contains an excerpt from the book - the above link contains a plot summary (not required for the completion of the series).

Legality and Civility

The second cache in the series will take along the top of the ridge close to some impressive houses.

Mr. Worldly Wiseman:

"Why in yonder village (the village is named Morality) there dwells a gentleman whose name is Legality a very judicious man and a man of very good name that has skill to help men off with such burdens as thine is from their shoulders. His house is not quite a mile from this place and if he should not be at home himself he hath a pretty young man to his son whose name is Civility that can do it (to speak on) as well as the old gentleman himself. There I say thou mayest be eased of thy burden."

A unique structure, situated very close to the cache location is a private residence characterized by it’s very distinct aerodynamic shape, elliptic centre dome and uninterrupted window line.

The project commenced in 1991 and was completed in 1992. The house is based on eight columns with a ring-beam on top, creating a 650
cantilevered floor. The upper floor is supported by the ring-beam and sixteen beams across. The diameter of the floor slab is 28m. The 100m² tropical atrium receives its natural sunlight through a skylight dome.

The main dish with its beam took 6 months to construct, after which 50 tons of reinforcing steel was placed and covered with 400m³ of concrete. Of the 76 windows, 40 are fitted with ventilators at the top – safety considerations dictate that none of windows can open due to the 60º angle.

The entire series is potentially a walk of nearly 5 kilometers. It is strongly suggested that: sturdy shoes are chosen; a hat and sun-screen are worn; and that plenty of water is taken along. All-told the total time should be between 90 and 180 minutes depending on fitness levels.  This area  'feels' completely safe, but always maintain a high level of vigilance. Since there is no access control to the area it is possible for undesirable elements to be present. The absence of litter along the highlighted route(not the red section) seems to indicate that it is a 'path less traveled'.
The parking options and route overview are provided in the listing for the first cache in the series.

The cache container is a painted lock-'n-lock container. There is a prize for the FTF (please read the note).

Don't forget to make a note of the keyword required for the final cache!!.
