A short hike in a Colorado State wildlife Area. YOU WILL NEED A HABITAT STAMP TO TRAVEL IN THIS AS WELL AS OTHER COLORADO WILDLIFE AREAS. This cache was placed before the stamp was required. Sorry
This should be fairly easy cache to find. Start by parking in the parking lot for the Jean K. Tool Wildlife area. N 40" 17.107 W103 41.769 After parking you will cross the road. The trip to the cache can be traveled on an old wagon road. There is no established trail to the cache site.
While searching for the cache I found several trees fallen by beaver and a small dam. This area is a couple of miles from a nesting pair of bald eagles. So look out for them.
I picked the west side of the Wildlife area because it less used but you should take care not to let anyone see you at the cache site.
At this point the cache has the following items:
Log-PLEASE Sign and leave in cache
Pencil & Pen- Leave in cache.
IF YOU TAKE SOMETHING PLEASE LEAVE SOMETHING IN TRADE.
Key Chain
Key Chain Screw driver
2 Charms
Piece of Turquoise
Pin From the Manhattan
I will be adding some kid stuff in the near future.
