This cache will bring you to the building that I have probably
spent more time in the past 4 years than anywhere else. All of you
old Austinites will probably remember the now-defunct Mojo's Daily
Grind. Mojo's was my home away from home, and the epitome of what
was cool about Austin; It was like cheers (but with coffee), where
you always knew someone and someone always knew you, no matter what
the time of day. Mojo's was a staple part of The Drag, and it was
sad to see this part of Austin history go.
2714 Guadalupe has gone through a reincarnation into a Moroccan
tea house: Kasbah, moroccan lounge. The place is pretty damn cool,
and has regained much of the old Mojo's regulars. It is in honor of
the reincarnation of one of the coolest places in Austin that I am
placing this cache.
You are looking for a disquised micro. Please do not mess with
the pottery or plants, these are not the containers you are
looking for. move along.. Those familiar with the caches of
Team GeoDillo will probably be familiar with
this kind of container. If you're having trouble with
coordinates, you might try letting your GPSr settle a bit at the
east end of the lot. I didn't get consistent coordinates until I
did this. If you're still having trouble, check the clues. I
have rated this a 3 because of the extreme proximity and number
of muggles during just about any time of the day. Please
practice extreme stealth when retreiving this cache.
Parking is available in the rear of the building, accessible
from the front drive on the north side of the lot, or the alley
between 27th and 28th. The hours have changed recently to 7am-3am.
The cache is still accessible during closing hours (short as they
are), so if you have the need to get this *very* early in the
morning, you should still be able to. This makes a great night
cache, especially with the added challenge/difficulty of muggles in
very close proximity even (and especially) during late hours.
This cache was placed with the permission of the management and
business owner.
