Geocache Description:

My first cache is an easy one. Less than a half mile walk, depending on exactly where you park. Faint trails in the area will lead you close to the cache, but the final approach will be off trail.

When Cold Springs Campground is open, park in the picnic area parking lot. When the campground is closed, there are several dirt pullouts along Highway 119 that you can park at, just don't park directly in front of any gates or near any No Parking signs.

This is a forest area that hordes of tourists and locals drive past, but few ever take the time to appreciate. I hope that while you are here you will explore the faint trails and abandoned roads that cross the area (on foot of course). Just remember that there is some private property right along the Highway to the north of the cache, so follow the trails and roads that lead away from the road back into the forest and you will be fine.
