[JLX.66] S. Rita Traditional Geocache

La chiesa di Santa Rita sorge nell'omonimo quartiere di Savona, sulla sponda destra del Letimbro. Lo stile è prevalentemenre barocco ad eccezione del campanile che è di stile romanico.

La festa di santa Rita ricorre il 22 maggio, quando nel quartiere viene allestito un mercato con banchi per la vendita delle rose.

Questo gioiellino, uno dei luoghi di culto più amati dai Savonesi, rischia purtroppo la chiusura. La storia, purtroppo si ripete.

Vent’anni fa, infatti, era stato firmato un concordato tra la Diocesi di Savona e i Padri Agostiniani, padroni dei muri dell’edificio, in cui si stabiliva che, a causa della riduzione del numero di frati devoti a Sant’Agostino, dal 1995 assenti dalla città, la chiesa sarebbe stata affidata alla Diocesi cittadina che, con la formula del comodato d’uso, sarebbe stata gestita dalla Confraternita della Santissima Trinità.

Nel 2015, la convenzione scadrà e, nel quartiere, si è già diffusa la voce di una probabile chiusura gettando nello sconforto moltissimi fedeli. la Diocesi di Savona ha confermato l’impossibilità di fatto di sottoscrivere un nuovo concordato.

Si sono fatti avanti i Cristiani Ortodossi, che questa chiesa la frequentano già da un po’ di tempo, anche se marginalmente. Se l'accordo verrà concluso e loro si faranno carico della gestione dell’edifico, ipotesi sempre più probabile, di tanto in tanto saranno consentite funzioni religiose cattoliche.

A questo punto potrebbe cambiare il nome della chiesa poiché ora dedicata ad una Santa che nella iconografia della religione Ortodossa non esiste.

Il cache è oggetto di frequente manutenzione. E' facile, tuttavia, incorrere in perdite o esposizioni eccessive ai babbani. Si prega pertanto, di riporre il cache esattamente come indicato nelle foto spoiler.

2) REGISTRAZIONE
La veridicità dei ritrovamenti è fondamentale per garantire una manutenzione programmata ed efficiente. Al termine di ogni sessione di manutenzione verrà pubblicata foto del registro delle firme. Verranno eliminati tutti i ritrovamenti che non trovino riscontro. Nessuna eccezione.

The church of Santa Rita is located in the homonymous district of Savona, on the right bank of Letimbro. The style is mostly baroque except for the bell tower which is Romanesque.

The feast of St. Rita is celebrated on May 22nd, when the district is served by a market with stalls for the sale of roses.

This gem, one of the most beloved places of worship for the locacl inhabitants, unfortunately risks to get closed. The story, unfortunately, repeats itself.

Twenty years ago, in fact, an agreement had been signed between the Diocese of Savona and the Augustinian Fathers, owners of the walls of the building, where it was stated that, due to the reduction in the number of monks devoted to St. Augustine, since 1995 absent from the city, the church was entrusted to the City Diocese that, with the formula of the loan for use, would be managed by the Brotherhood of the Holy Trinity.

In 2015, the agreement will expire and, in the neighborhood, has already spread the rumor of a possible closure throwing into disarray many faithful. The Diocese of Savona has confirmed the impossibility of fact to sign a new agreement.

They Orthodox Christians, who attend the church since time, though marginally, have come forward. If the agreement is concluded and they will be responsible for managing the building, hyposthesis increasingly probable, from time to time will be allowed Catholic services.

At this point it may change the name of the church for now it is dedicated to a Santa that in the iconography of the Orthodox religion does not exist.

WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1) REPOSITIONING THE CACHE
The cache is subject to frequent maintenance, however, it is easy to incur losses or excessive exposure to geomuggles. So please put exactly where indicated in the spoilers.

2) LOGS
The truth of the founds is very important for a scheduled and efficient maintenance. At the end of every maintenance session a logbook photo will be published. Every found which does not match the logbook will be deleted. No exception admitted.
