DL&W Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This is a Senic Overlook. You will be looking at the eighth wonder of the world.

This cache will give you a great look at one of the most impressive engineering marvels ever constructed. The Tunkhannock Viaduct, also known as the Nicholson Bridge. It is the largest poured concrete railroad bridge in the world. This 2,375 foot long viaduct, completed in 1915, served as the centerpiece of an advanced improvemnet that greatly reduced grades and curvature along a 39 mile portion of the Lackawanna Railroad's New York - Buffalo line. The bridge continues to operate as a cargo carrying line.

Please use great discretion when viewing this cache as you will be by a busy 2 lane road. You should take it back to your vehicle to examine it's contents. The cache is a geocache labeled plastic container. First Finders Prize is Penna lottery tickets. Good Luck!
