Geocache Description:

This is a fun all day adventure in a very nice county park.

The trail to this cache will be a challenge physically and mentally. It will be fun. It will require hiking along established trails in an urban area. You will see plenty of wildlife on your journey. There are some biking trails integral to the hike but unfortunately you cannot bike the whole tour. You will have to leave the trail to find most of the micro caches. These trails are marked and family friendly. There are a few places where there is poison ivy beside the trail.

The above coordinates are for the first in a series of 13 micros. In each micro container are two sets of coordinates. One set of coordinates is the location for the next micro. The other set of coordinates is bogus. There will be a clue or hint about the next micro location or container. Some of you will recognize the containers from other area micros. Each micro container is different and may be hidden in an unorthodox manner not far from the trail.

The last micro will give you the coordinates of the real regular sized ammo box container. We have stocked the final cache with goodies. The parking lot and your vehicle will be in the vicinity of the first stage and final cache.

The parking and trailhead coordinates are N35 50.415 - W078 47.583. The trailhead and trail maps (a map will helpful but not essential) are at the edge of the parking area. Please leave the slips of paper in the containers and rehide the containers as you find them. Please don’t mention details in your post. Be discrete in some areas.

Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended during the summer. Part of the trail can be muddy if there has been recent rain. Poison ivy and poison sumac have been avoided where possible. Water to drink is recommended along with snacks and even a picnic is possible. There are benches along the trail to rest. Also bring IVs and emergency flares! :)

Be sure to have the parking coordinates in your GPSr. You will need them to get to your vehicle from the final cache location.

This cache journey is in the Lake Crabtree County Park. The trail to each stage and then to the final cache will take 6+ hours so plan accordingly.
