How Geocaching Works
This cache is located near Pottsville Lake where Galla Creek runs
into it. It is just a little ways off the water in an area that is
popular for fishing and picnicing. It can be reached by land, but
it would be a hard hike. The best way is to kayak or boat to it and
then hike about 100 yeards.
This cache is a camo container placed just off of Pottsville Lake.
It is back in a very serene area where the creek runs into the
lake. The best way to access this cache is via kayak or boat and
then take a very short hike to it. (A good spot to take out is N 35
16.007, W 093 02.355) It can be reached by land, but it would be a
rough hike with quite a few bluffs and very rough terrain. Because
of the bluffs in the area, reception gets a little shotty at times.
I took points on two different days, so it should be as close as
possible. You shouldn't have to climb for this one. Special note:
Because this lake is a watershed, no gasoline motors are allowed on
it. Bring a picnic - you'll want to stay a while. FTF Honors go to
idratherbehiking!
