A nice easy three stage multi on the shores of
Moreton Bay. With summer on the way this area provides bayside
scenery and a fun place to cool off. Bring the swimwear and towels
for this one! This place is very popular on weekends and holidays
so parking the geomobile will be the biggest challenge. I would
suggest somewhere near the end of Anzac Avenue down a side street.
Geohounds may have to stay home if you wish to linger at the main
attractions.
The coords above are for waypoint one (yes it does
look like it is in Moreton Bay)! If you parked south of here may I
suggest an amble past the shops on the parade.
At waypoint one...
A = the
number of posts supporting the roof.
B = the number of tables.
Calculate...
PP = (A + B + 1) x 3
RR = A + B - 2
Goto
waypoint two at....
S 27 13.7PP' E 153 07.0RR'
At waypoint
two...
C =
number of islands in the lagoon
D = number of large toadstools.
Now look for the navigation mark out to sea.
If it
is red then E = 2,
if it is yellow then E = 5,
and if it is green then E =
8.
Calculate...
XX = (20 x (C + D)) + E
YY = (C + D) x E
When you
have had enough fun here goto the cache at
S 27 13.9XX' E 153 07.0YY'. The cache is a small 500ml plastic
container. Please sign the log book and rehide with
stealth!!!
