Looking northerly from here you will see the Penny Bridges. Back in the day a street car line ran between the eastbound and westbound automobile lanes of Sheridan Boulevard. The bridges are so-named because the fare on the trolley increased if one rode past the bridges on the trolley's way to College View.
Because of deteriorating concrete, starting May 4, 2015, the bridges were removed and replaced with new, similar looking spans. The bridges and the trail are now complete and open.
