Geocache Description:

Located at the north end of the Longleaf Trace. This is a great biking/walking trail on an old Illinois Central railroad bed. The entire trail runs from Hattiesburg to Prentiss (43 miles) but you can park within a mile of this cache. The cache container is a tool/tackle box with lots of stuff.

Dr. Seuss guide to this cache:

Take a bike or take a hike
Or if you like, go with Mike
Along the trace, it's not a race,
Just go your pace to reach the place.
Now, what I'll do is give a clue
So all of you will get a view
Of where the cache is neatly stashed;
Not in the trash, not in the grass,
Not high but LOW is where you'll go.
And then you'll know the place I stowed
This cache away and there to stay
Until one day some others may
Discover it and where it sits
So you can get the treasure bits.

***** September 2004 UPDATE ***** Visited the cache while staying with my folks in Silver Creek. No one had visited this cache since April so I wanted to make sure it was still there. It is and is in good shape. Still has Christmas items from last year so you can get them for this year. There are two other caches within a mile or two of my cache so you can find them too.
