Geocache Description:

First to find Friday

Friday, January 2

6 - 8 pm

Bucer's Coffeehouse & Pub

Moscow, Idaho

This will be the first in what will hopefully be a series of monthly meet & greets for the quad cities area (and beyond). My plan is to rotate the location among the four cities each month. This month we'll meet in Moscow.

I've noticed that caching activity slows down in the winter. I don't know if it's because the days are shorter, or if the cold, wet, and snow drives people indoors, but the fun doesn't have to stop this time of year. My latest obsession for a less-than-ideal day is to solve puzzles, and then when the weather clears, go search for the cache at the final location. Since we all have different skills when it comes to puzzles, I thought it would be a good idea to to help each other out solving the many puzzle caches in the region.

In addition, I've put out a few puzzles around town that will become available at 6pm as the event begins. Bucer's has complimentary wifi, so bring a computer or tablet so that you can access cache listings and online resources for solving the puzzles. Who knows, you might even get a FTF!

If you'd like to place a cache for the event, create a puzzle located somewhere in the four counties (Latah, Nez Perce, Whitman, or Asotin) and name it "FTF January: <cache name>", and have the reviewer publish the listing at 6:00 pm on January 2.
