How Geocaching Works
We thought we would try something new in this area. Listen For the Owls is a NIGHT-ONLY cache in Mockridge Wildlife Preserve. It has been placed there with the permission of the Clinton County Conservation Board.
This cache must be done after dark, and a flashlight or other light source is required. The listed coordinates will bring you to the parking area at Mockridge Wildlife Preserve, just north of Calamus. Once there, shine your light toward the trees until you spot a tree with TWO reflective pointers on it, about six foot off the ground. That will be your starting point. From that point, shine your light straight ahead and follow the single reflective pointers on the trees until you come to a tree with THREE reflective pointers on it - two white pointers with a red one in between. The cache is located very close to that point. Very little bushwhacking is necessary to make the find.
You are looking for an ammo box that has been modified to reinforce the night cache theme.
