Help us celebrate the first annual Cache In Trash Out day! Please note that the folks at the BLM are concerned about a local praire falcon nest near the parking area. Dr. Dean Bolinger, a local veterinarian, who operates the free Raptor Rehab program at Blue Sky Vet Clinic will be present to oversee that no wildlife shows any sign of distress...
Help us show our support for the First Annual Cache In Trash Out day! We will be meeting at the Dry Canyon Overlook at the posted coordinates at 9 AM on Saturday April 26. Depending on how many people show up, we estimate that we can do a lot of good for this area with 2 hours of work. A quick clean up of the Dry Canyon Overlook area will really help visitors and locals alike who love the Badlands area....
Cache IN Trash OUT T-shirts sponsored by Magellan will be available for $3.50 to cover our costs, or you can purchase them in advance at the Groundspeak website for $3.00. I will have 24 on hand for a first come - first serve basis. In addition, I will supply ice water, disposable gloves and black garbage bags. Anyone who can bring their truck to help haul this stuff out to the landfill, that would be great. Small children and pets should be carefully supervised or left at home due to the busy highway and steep slopes nearby. We will need people of all abilities who can handle the terrain, although there is a lot of flat areas to work on also. If you can contribute snacks or other drinks they would be welcome. Heavy work gloves would be handy and so would those gadgets where you can pick things up without bending over.
There will be some great local publicity for our group, and a cache log to sign to claim a find. Please join us!
