Geocache Description:

In northern LaPorte County on county road 925 N. Park along county road at N 41 44.448 W 086 46.166. Enter at No Trespassing signs. It's OK to enter. Property is open to the public.

This property is owned by the LaPorte County Park Foundation and was a gift from the Sebert family. The 40 acres will be turned into a county park in the future. Even though this property is several miles from Lake Michigan, it has a small sand dune on it. It also has a large stand of native white birch which is about the furthest south that they are found. There are no marked trails yet, so make your own, but take care of the fragile environment. Enjoy this unique spot. Across the road to the north is property owned by the LaPorte County Conservation Trust and is a state dedicated nature preserve. It contains rare and endangered plant species. There is one marked trail through it.
