Used to be many wild Turkeys in the field below the cache site. I still picture them there every time I drive by. They have all pretty much moved on now or died off. I did see a few down there on the day I hid this cache.
I placed this cache here more for the road than for my memories of the Turkeys. Santa Rosa Creek road is one of the few early roads to the coast. It's not used much any more since Hwy. 46 opened, but it an outstanding experience for bikers, mototcycles and folks who are just not in a hurry to get anywhere and have time to enjoy the hills, valleys, trees and farms and the over all beauty of nature on the way into or out of Cambria.
Should be no problem for you to spot a cammoed peanut container with room for a bunch of trade stuff.

Enjoying the drive along Santa Rosa Creek road finding a few caches. After a DNF on the first one I was able to make this find quickly. Thanks for the fun find! SL

We live just outside Toronto, Canada and flew into San Francisco to spend the Christmas holidays in California. On our way to visit family in Fresno, we decided to spend a couple of days in Paso Robles area. Great area for geocaching. TFTC!

Pretty spot, although no sign of any turkeys today. It was nice to be able to park in the shade. Cache was uncovered, so I tried to tuck it away a little bit under some debris but it's still an easy find. Thanks for the hide, and for the inspiration to drive this road...

Our unexpected turn onto Santa Rosa Creek proved to be a goldmine of caches. Yeah! RJSams made for a quick grab. Left plant food and army men. TFTH
