Coming around the bend to Pillar Point marsh is reminiscent of coming around the cove in Bodega Bay where Alfred Hichcock filmed his totally scary psychological thriller 'The Birds.' Where seagulls, blackbirds, crows, and ravens overtake the citizens of a small northern California coastal town.

- Actors had meat smeared on their hands and arms to prompt the birds to bite and peck.

- Star Tippi Hedren, when attacked near the end of the movie had birds attached to her clothes with nylon thread so they couldn't fly away.
