Sunday Roast - Gorse Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

thehoomer: Thanks to lmday for your report. The cache was indeed soaking wet and was due to a hole in the lid.

We have now decided to archive the caches along this stretch as we think they have done their time. We would like to think that some other local cachers might utilise this pretty, peaceful walk. Maybe we could make it a 'dedication to other cachers' area? Messe's cache is at the start of the walk, it would be great to see some additions dedicated to other teams.
Thanks to all who have visited and enjoyed this cache.

Geocache Description:

A quick cache n dash at the start of a level Bridleway. There are 3 more caches on this route if you fancy a longer amble. There are various places to park but please be considerate and CAREFUL, the Lower Heyford road is busy and fast.

This little area is known as The Gorse and is ajacent to Lime Hollow. We've often wondered what the brick arch was when we travelled past. An old lime kiln maybe? Anyway, we decided that this little walk was perfect for a mini series. The set of four caches should take you no longer than an hour to find, so, perfect for walking off that Sunday Roast! You are looking for a cammo'd film canister.
