This Cache is sited near the coast footpath next to some air raid shelters that where part of Trevellas airfield. Work began on the airfield in 1940 to provide accommodation for fighter squadrons. The airfield became operational on 28th April 1941 when a single squadron - No. 66 flying Spitfires moved in. I suggest you not venture to far along the tarmac roads toward the airfield as it is still in use and you wouldn't want a plane landing on you. There is a footpath that leads to a road where you can park at N50:19.442. W005.11.248. Grid SW73220 51989.
