Join us at CampDoc's wonderful Oak Grove Campground in beautiful
Niota, Tennessee!
Oak Grove
Campground
Hosted this year by MommaDirtClod, CampDoc, TheAlabamaRambler,
and Bubbles this event promises to be better than ever!
This year the event is all about the kids - no matter the age,
the kid in all of us will have a ball.
Oak Grove Campground sits in the heart of some of the finest
scenery, sightseeing, geocaching and relaxing this country has to
offer.
Geocaching - Run a PQ on caches near the camp's coordinates and
you will find a wealth of interesting and well-placed
geocaches!
I like spending time with folk, so I am not organizing any cache
runs this year - stay at camp and visit or take off geocaching,
whatever makes you happy!
Dinner - Bring your own fixins and we'll cook them or bring a
pot-luck dish. TheAlabamaRambler will BBQ 10 pounds of pork roast
(Boston Butt with home-made sauce) and yard bird; bring whatever
you want and we'll grill it.
We'll set an early dinner time so folks who don't camp can get
back home, so plan to eat ~5 p.m.
Fireside - Perhaps the best part of this event will be gathering
around the campfire, convivial conversation, burn a marshmallow or
a S'more, and enjoy getting to know one another!
Haunted Trail - Starts at dark! CampDoc outdoes himself every
year, making this one of the must-do events! I can't tell ya the
details, but if you like haunts you'll love this!
Sunday Breakfast - Sunday morning at 9 a.m. we'll gather for an
excellent buffet breakfast at the Dinner Bell Restaraunt,
Interstate 75 Exit 62 (N 35° 37.276 W 084° 29.259).
If you can't make the dinner or campout try to join us for
breakfast... yes, there's a cache there! GCKMF9
PLEASE! As a family event we want people to bring and not worry
about kids of all ages, therefore there will be no alchohol allowed
and illicit drugs will get you prosecuted.
