Geocache Description:

Cache is a green ammo box, located on top of Heck Table in the South Dakota Badlands.

NOTE TO CACHE SEEKERS: It's come to my attention that the NPS may have removed this cache! The cache was not located in Badlands NP, but very near its border -- perhaps a matter of just a few yards. Two seekers have reported not being able to find this cache, and evidently the nearby "Badlands National Park View" cache is also missing. I can't check these caches at this time, but Team Family Affair has told me that they will check them and look into the disappearances. More news as it develops.

Sorry, but there isn't a whole lot of "treasure" in this cache. A few toy cars or planes, batteries, and the log book. I didn't have much time to put the cache together. Maybe someone will add some better stuff.

The cache itself is sitting at the base of a yucca plant. This won't help much, because there are thousands of yuccas here. I would recommend using a 4WD vehicle with good ground clearance to get to the base of Heck Table. Also, don't try this in the rain or you will get stuck.

This whole area is an old bombing range, and although it's supposedly been cleaned up, you should avoid picking up (or stepping on) any oddly-shaped objects or hunks of metal.

While in the area, you should visit the Cuny Table Cafe, at N43°30.792' W102°38.454' It's about 24 miles away by road.
