Mountain village Zlijebi, located at the foot of mountain Orjen is known for is specific building of houses with stoneroofs what represents rarity in wider area.
The village is located at more than 700 m above sea level with the unique view on the entrance of the Bay of Kotor. In the village there is church of St. Nikola that dates back from the 16th century.The church is located at an altitude of 708 meters.
In favorable weather conditions, this place often overfly paragliding enthusiasts.
How to reach the destination?
If you take your own car, the road
starts from a small place, Meljine, near Herceg Novi. There is a
roundabout where you turn to the road Herceg Novi-Trebinje from the
Adriatic highway, the position is: N 42°27.323 E 018°33.496 which
further takes you to your destination.
After approximately 6,9 km of drive, you come to the Village of Kameno, the position: N42°28.841 E 018°31.748 then you turn right, keeping on your drive
towards the village of Zlijebi.
After some time you have to turn right at this point: N 42°29.377 E 018°32.109
The ride lasts until the position: N 42°28.909 E 018°33.760 where you can park your car.
From this position for about ten to fifteen minutes' walk you reach the church.
Cache is hidden near the church, at a place like the cache name.
Be careful if you come with small children. Watch it for their movement because of the very steep terrain exposure, especially east and southeast of the church.
