Located on public land bordering the Coralville Reservoir with the approval of the Corps of Engineers. Be prepared for the possibility of wet feet and/or mud.
What happens when your plant’s roots sit in water too long? Root rot. What happens when your highway sits in water since 1959? Route rot!
Depending on reservoir water levels, this cache can be an easy 5 minute walk from your parking spot at N 41° 48.966' W 91° 38.745', or it could require an extensive detour to the north, with a (small) stream crossing and bushwhacking. Please use common sense when deciding which route to take. The lack of rain over the last few years has left the easy path high and dry for now; who knows how long this will last?
Cache container is an ammo canister. Starting contents include a rock from the Volcan de San Salvador in El Salvador, some El Salvadoran money, some red/black obsidian from Glass Butte in Oregon, and assorted trinkets. Please take a CITO bag and help to keep the area clean.
