Greetings!
"CONSERVE THE FIGHTING STRENGTH" is the motto of the US Army
Medical Department.
This cache honors my friend ASSOCIATORMEDIC.
In 2003 he answered our nation's call and left his wife and two
sons (one only 4 days old)to deploy to Kosovo. He served honorably
and returned safely when his tour was completed.
Sadly, ASSOCIATORMEDIC became afflicted with incurable brain
cancer and passed away on February 9th 2007.
He will always be remembered as a geocacher, 91W Combat Medic
and paramedic who put the mission and his subordinates before
himself.
The cache is a .50 ammo can.
The cache is well hidden in a small rock "cave". Please insure
that the box is returned to its camouflaged hiding spot.
NOTE: You **DO NOT** have to overturn rocks to find this cache.
It is NOT buried by rocks. Gentle probing and sharp-eyed looking
will allow you to find it.
Vehicles can be driven within 2/10 of a mile of the cache. The
seeming ease of this cache because of the short distance from a
parking area to the hiding spot can be deceptive if you approach
from the wrong angle! The NO HUNTING signs mark the border of the
boro-owned property. Even though no hunting is permitted on this
land - there are numerous signs of tree stands. Use appropriate
levels of bright color and noise when going through brushy, low
visibility areas during big game hunting season. Hiking and
picnicing are allowed on this land.
The trail will take you within 250' of the cache.
060127: In response to numerous DNFs and some griping I
inspected the cache and found it within 21' of where my GPSr said
was zero.
Enjoy this cache while taking a moment to remember the
sacrifices made every day by all of the members of our armed
forces.
Sincerely, PULASKI
