How Geocaching Works
From Blanchard go across the bridge turn right follow this road to 45 16.985 /69 37.394. Park in the turn off and walk up the road to the foot of the hill,about a hundred yards.Follow your GPSr from there.
CAUTION !! CAUTION !! CAUTION !!
Like Deathwish # 1 this cahe is for the adventurous only.Very steep grades with slippery under footing.Trees can be rotted and not to be trusted for hand holds.Also some of the rocks are loose and could fall.
Don't do this cache alone,on rainy days or wintery conditions.
That said this is an awesome spot on the Piscataquis River.The AT Horseshoe Canyon lean-to is just across the river.This is a great fishing spot and a great place to take a dip on a hot day in the summer.
My GPSr had a hard time getting a signal here,but finally did find a spot to get a good reading.So please be persistant.These co-ords are in Austrailan again(down under for you that had trouble with that before)
