Ribeira de S. Silvestre
A ribeira de S. Silvestre corre entre pinhais e vem juntar-se ao rio Zêzere numa área de beleza impar, a da Bairrada e Bairradinha. Onde o lago artificial formado pela construção da barragem de Castelo de Bode alterou por completo a paisagem desta região.
A albufeira desta barragem estende-se ao longo de 60 quilómetros, espalhando-se pelos concelhos do Sardoal, Vila de Rei e Sertã na margem leste e Ferreira do Zêzere e Figueiró dos Vinhos na margem oeste. A sua paisagem perde-se entre vales, serras, pinhais e realidades de grande beleza natural, reunindo condições perfeitas para a realização das mais diversas actividades náuticas, desportivas, de lazer e turísticas.
A região da Bairrada e Barradinha é um exemplo perfeito desta realidade, aqui há uma paz absoluta e recantos paradisíacos para uma boa tarde de pesca, um mergulho refrescante ou simplesmente ouvir os pássaros ou os nossos pensamentos…

A água doce existente para consumo está repartida pelas calotes polares, rios, lagos e lençóis subterrâneos. Esta água é considerada “água disponível” para consumo humano, contudo não é necessariamente água potável.
A água é potável quando pode ser consumida pelos seres humanos. Infelizmente, maior parte da água dos continentes está contaminada, pelo que é necessário limpar e tratar a água por processos caros e complexos de modo a eliminar da água os agentes de contaminação que possam causar algum risco para a saúde.
Stream of S. Silvestre
The stream of S. Silvestre flows between pinewoods and joins the river Zêzere in a beautiful area called Bairrada and Bairradinha, where the artificial lake formed by the construction of the dam of Castelo de Bode completely altered the landscape of this region.
The reservoir of this dam stretches along 60 kilometers, spanning the municipalities of Sardoal, Vila de Rei and Sertã on the east bank and Ferreira Zêzere, Figueiró do Vinhos, on the west bank. The landscape is lost among valleys, hills, woods and realities of natural beauty, combining perfect conditions for the implementation of various water activities, sports, leisure and tourism.
The region of Bairrada and Barradinha is a perfect example of this reality, here there is a complete and paradisiacal peace for a good afternoon of fishing, a refreshing swim or just listening to the birds or our thoughts...

The existing freshwater for everyday use is distributed between the polar ice caps, rivers, lakes and groundwater. This water is considered "available water" for human consumption, though not necessarily potable water.
The water is drinkable when it can be consumed by humans. Unfortunately, most of the continents water is contaminated and it is necessary to clean and treat water with expensive and complex processes to eliminate the water contaminants that may cause some risk to health.
