Geocache Description:

A traditional cache by the Kennington Railway Bridge, on the National Cycle Route 5 near Kennington and Oxford.

The Hanson Way is part of National Cycle Network Route 5. It is the route south from Oxford to Didcot that takes you through traffic-calmed streets before joining the off road path parallel with the railway line. Traffic free paths take you across parkland to the heart of the attractive town of Abingdon. From there the route goes via the little village of Sutton Courtenay before arriving in Didcot by the railway station. From Didcot you can get a train back to Oxford or explore the many beautiful routes around Didcot. For more, check out the Sustrans section on the Hanson Way. This cache is the part of the route that runs along the river between Oxford and Kennington, before running alongside the railway for a short stretch.  It’s probably the nicest section of the Hanson Way, although it is a little bumpy, can get a bit muddy, and is sometimes blocked by the odd stubborn cow!  The cache is just off the cycle path near the Kennington Railway Bridge, a bridge used solely for freight according to Wikipedia, although I previously thought it was disused.  It is wheelchair accessible, but the last few years would be tricky if alone. although its a fairly big trip from the nearest parking (probably Iffley - N 51° 43.698 W 001° 14.395 - I'm not sure) and is set with cyclists in mind.
EDIT: Go catch reported that you can park in Kennington car park or the Tandem pub (or nearby) in Kennington and walk over the nearby pedestrian footbridge. Co-ords for the pub car park are N51 43.102 W001 14.628. It's only a short walk - approximately 10 minutes - from the footbridge.

Could you please let me know when the log is getting full or if it gets water damaged.

Please keep cache out of sight and about 3 foot up. It does flood here every now and then.
