I grew up in Saratoga and have always loved the Creeks that wind through the neighborhoods and local parks. I have played in these often, despite the signs that tell you of dangerously high bacteria levels, and have managed to live without side effects. (I suppose it's still possible that my future children will be born with three eyes.)
This is my first cache and I wanted it to be a easy one. A nearby trail runs along the creek behind Saint Andrews school and makes for a pleasant walk. I was going to place a cache along the trail but my GPS unit was having a hard time keeping track of satellites. So this one is located just off of the street which helps make it more accessible but harder to hide from geo-muggles, particularly if you come during school hours.
This is a micro cache so be sure to bring your own pen.
Changed the clue and bumped the difficulty rating up to 2 from 1.5 on September 30th. - The real challenge comes from the lack of accurate GPSr readout in this area.
Early December 2004 I updated the Coordinates. Hopefully these will be more accurate. A geocacher took an average of all of the "suggested" coords for this cache... and it seems to be helping. -- I'll keep the difficulty rating at 2 for awhile until it becomes more apparant that the new coords make it a easier find.
