A special cache for the person that started caching at the canal
and has a lot of caches there.
Access to the C&D canal is off of Chesapeake City Road just
west of Vererns Cemetary (west of Rt 896). Parking is right off of
the upper road that is driveable with a regular car. Parking area
offers good vantage points since this is at the highest area of the
canal. WALK down the rutted road (drive at your own risk--it gets
deep puddles fairly soon) to the published trailhead and follow the
ATV trail to the cache. No bushwhacking if you find and stay on the
trial. Super easy find. Just a nice walk
After the cache, you can walk farther down the road to view some
nice ponds.
