The old quarry in Concord, NH is featured in the take off of Charles Dickens Christmas Carole with Henry Winkler. It's entrance in on Lake St. off of Rte 3 N. State St. Parking coords: N43 14.457 W071 34.102 This is a lock and lock container of smiley items in the rock piles along the trail marked by blue paint. DO NOT CLIMB THE LARGE HILL OF GRANITE TO THE RIGHT AS YOU LOOK AT THE VIEW.
Sitting on those quarry rocks, rest, smile & enjoy the view of busy N. State St below, horseshoe pond further out, East Concord and does anyone know the name of the mountain in the far distance? Did you catch the quarry hens on the way up? GCY2VB Press on to find the Quarry Dogs by meandmydogs. We trekked together today for these hides. The working quarries are off limits ... I was thrilled to learn of this old quarry trail for hikers. NOT FOR NIGHT CACHING. There are lots of deep quarries. Stick to the trails for safety. These trails are great and safe in daylight.
