Geocache Description:

Another in a series of caches dedicated to my all time favorite duo, Simon & Garfunkel. If you take time to read the description, you'll learn a little bit about these amazing guys, their sometimes rocky relationship and their own cache of chart topping music.Their lyrics are poetic, profound, sometimes fun and sometimes angry in a gentle way.

THE BOXER was written by Paul Simon in 1968 and was released as the follow up single to their number 1 hit, "Mrs. Robinson". It reached #7 on the charts and later appeared on what was to be their last studio album, Bridge Over Troubled Water in 1970. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it #105 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

I am just a poor boy though my story's seldom told.
I have squandered my resistance for a pocket full of miracles, such are promises.

All lies and jests, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.

When I left my home and my family, I was no more than a boy
in the company of strangers ,
in the quiet of the railway station, running scared; laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters where the ragged people go, looking for the places only they would know.

An easy P&G near an establishment that may see a little boxing action from time to time. Thanks to The Mary Jane Girls for supplying one of their pathtags for the FTF prize.

Congratulations to DrGoby for FTF!
