Trees and Stones (Big Ones)! Multi-cache

With large wide easy hills, this trail takes you on a pleasant mostly shaded walk toward Lake Chabot where the trail terminates.  The area of the cache has a very interesting very large tree with a large hollow center area. You might want to check this out, it is big enough for more than one person to stand in, though there is no need to for this cache.  The tree also has some very large roots radiating from it into and around the large boulders around and below the tree. 

Coordinates will get you to the parking/staging area. Look for your numbers on the sign with numbers.

Very wide trail - lots of PO - stay on the trail. Trail is mostly in the shade and should be a very nice walk.

There is some PO around the tree -- keep to the right of the tree when going behind it.

I expect that between the tree and the stones, this cache may take some time to find. See also attached photo -

 

This is a cool hide - standard multi with a twist - bring your camera - the tree is awesome. Please take the time to replace all aspects of this cache the way you found them. The cache should NOT be able to be seen if covered properly.

The trail at the parking lot staging area is being closed temporarily on and off - while it is closed you can still seek this cache. Get the waypoints at the parking area and then drive up (south) Redwood Road about 1/4 mile to the first left - park there (Camino Alta Mira). You will see the trail head across the street.
