The Birdcage Walk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll consider unarchiving it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Geocache Description:

The former location of St Andrews Church in Clifton. The church was destoryed by Luftwaffe bombing on the night of November 24, 1940. What remains today is one of the most traquil spaces in Bristol. For more historic information visit http://www.churchcrawler.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/clftand.htm

UPDATE May 14, 2006
Cheers FollowMeChaps! The log book problems are now resolved. As this is a micro cache and there is little room for logs, please log visits on the web.

This is one of Darcy's favorite spaces. No matter what the season, the birdcage walk is always both beautiful and peaceful. It is a great place to come and read or just sit and ponder.

There is ample street parking nearby on the weekends but it can be hard to find during the week. There is nothing difficult about the cache besides finding some peace to conduct your search. Depending on your point of approach you may or may not approach the location through the birdcage walk. If you don't I highly recommend taking a stoll through it.

The cache is in a smallish vitamin bottle in the foilage. It should be well hidden but not to difficult to locate.

Original cache contents:

- Pencil and log book
- assorted coins of the world
- bookmark
- little padlock
