Geocache Description:


921 is the date that Taiwan suffered from a major earthquake for the first time since the last century. The earthquake occurred on September 21, 1999. The people of Taiwan refer to it as 921. The quake, 7.3 on the Richter scale, was felt all over the island. The quake's major impact was in the mountain region in the center of the island. Puli is the community which was the center of the quake's greatest devastation.

Now, the epicenter is a memorial site, the 921 earthquake national memorial site in chiu-fen-erh mountain, It teach people must revere the power of the nature.
