+++++++ For safety sake, stay on the "BLUE Blazed Trail" until you are w/in 25-ft of the cache+++++++ NO bushwhacking required!
Hidden on Mount Pleasant! Route 60 toward Buena Vista, north on 634, Right on 755.
There is a Trail/Map Kiosk showing the “loop” hike up to some of the best viewing spots in Virginia. If you do not want to do the “Loop”, then merely come down the same way you went up!
When you get to the top of Mt Pleasant, be reminded that there is a viewing spot both to the East and to the West.
Old Gimpy chose the name as he loves bears, as well as Virginia’s mountains. There is only one other person I’ve met in my 63-yrs that loves the outdoors more than Old Gimpy and that’s NatureGator! He also picked the hiding spot for the “Ammo-can” which has two (2) rocks on top of it to keep critters from playing with it!
If you have never been to the top of Mount Pleasant, and seen the views, you have truly missed a Virginia treasure! There are a few more caches in the area, so check them out!
