The church in Kirkehavn was build in 1854. The architect was the famous Christian Heinrich Grosch that also was the architect for the new university buildings in Christiania (now Oslo). The church has a octagonal shape which is rather uncommen in this part of Norway.

Kirken i Kirkehavn ble bygget i 1854. Arkitekten var den kjente Christian Heinrich Groch som også var arkitekten for de nye universitetsbygningene i Christiania. Kirken er åttekantet - noe som er ganske sjeldent i denne delen av Norge.

Hidra - the most beautiful island on the southcoast of Norway.
Hidra is situated in Flekkefjord municipality. A ferry boat is connecting the island to the mainland.The trip takes only 5-6 minutes. Approximately 600 people live on the island. In the summertime, however, the population increases greatly.

Hidra ligger i Flekkefjod kommune. Det er fergeforbindelse med fastlandet. Turen tar bare 5-6 min.
